No1 To run a defrag or scan-- Double left click on my computer then right click on C: (drive) then left click on peoperties then left click on tools then click on either Error Checking Status or Defragmentation Status and run Both. Make sure iof you have MaAfee virus scan shut it down and if you are running screen savers shut it off to.

No2 To stop programs from running in the back ground.
Go to start then left click on accesories then left click on system tools then left click on system imformation then left click on configuration then left click on the start tab. There you will see everything that is running on your PC.Or you can go to start then left click on run and there you can type in this msconfig then click on ok.

No3 To get rid of your Temp Files.
Right on the start then left click on explorer then go down till you see temp internet files and folders then left click on the yellow folder there then you left click on one of the temps so it is highlighted then left click on edit then left click on select all then left click on file then left click on delete. Then left click on the x to exit there.

No4 To get of your temp files when you shut down your PC.
Go to the big blue E on your desk top right click on the E then left click on open thenleft click on tools then left click on internet then left click on advance then go down till you see security then look for empty temporary internet files, folders when browser is closed put in a check mark there then close the page.

No5 The Task Scheduler.
On your task bar you will see the task scheduler left click on it. It will bring up a box in the box left click on add. In there you can have anything you want like the scan disk. And you put in how ,many times in a week and the time you want to run it. Then get out of there make sure PC is on to run it.

No6 For free updates on your PC.
Bring up your browser and in the address put your pointer in there and left click to highlight it then hit the back space on your key board this will take that addie out then type in www.updates.com make sure you put in your e-mail address so they can send you things. This takes about 10 mins and it will bring up a page and it will tell you what you need to update and gives you the place to do it.

No7 To run a scan on your PC in MS-DOS.
Go to start left click on it then put the dot in shut down in MS-DOS. then shut down your PC. When it restarts it will come up to a page where you will see you curser blinking then there you type in scanreg/fix then hit the enter this takes about 5 mins when it is done you type in scanreg/opt then hit enter this is fast then when it is done type in win then hit ender this will bring you back to your windows desktop.

No8 To check your resources.
Right click on my computer icon on your desk top then left click on properties then left click on performance and it will show you the % of System Resources used on your PC and it will show you how much memory you have on your PC.

No9 To save your ICQ names and numbers.
In ICQ you will see the yellow heart left click on it then left click om messages archive then load it and when it ask when in curent location. After it loads shut down youricq then go to start programs then icq then click on message archive and then click onhow long like a week a year. then when it brings up your icqw go back to the heart andclick on it then click on message archive then left on address book then put in a floppy disk and click on export.

No10 To send your e-mail with out all the address on it.
In your e-mail left click on forward then bring your curserto the top left corner then left click and hold it move the curser over the part you want to delete it should highlight it then click on the space bar on your key board. Now you can sent it.

Np11 About BCC.
BCC means blind carbon copy with means if you want to send e-mail to say 7 people and you don't want everyone to no who you are sending it just left click on a name to highlight it then left click on BCC that just send put the others on BCC. remember to put someone in the top e-mail address.

No12 To restore your reg files.
Shut down your PC ans restart it. At the first sign of light hit the F8 and keep tapping till it have a page. then click oncommand prompt only then type in scanreg/restore then hit enter then click on a datelike if you have 1/12 and the next date is 3/30 you click on the 3/30 then hit enter then get out of MS-DOS

No13 To find out about everything you are running on your PC.
Go to your browser and type in www.belaec.com then hit enter when the pasge cones up download then run it.

No14 To show your speaker icon on your task bar.
Double left click on my computer icxon on your desk top then double left on control panel then double left click on multimedia then put a check mark in the box for show speaker in task bar.

No15 To see what IE you are running.
Bring up your browser then left click on help then left click on about Internet Explorer it will bring up a box to tell you.

No16 To soft boot your PC.
Hold down the Ctrl key and the Alt together then hit the delete key it will bring up a box then do it again. The your PC will reboot.

No17 Good places to go and download songs.
www.rapigator.com and www.audiogalaxy.com There can download song and burn them to a CD. All you have do is pick a name and password.

No18 To run a surface scan in MS-DOS.
Go to start shut down in MS-DOS Mode. when it comes up type in scandisk then hit enter the click yes. This depands on your PC it might take 29 mins or longer to run when done type in win then hit enter.

No19--To add and revove programs.
Go to start then left click on settings thenleft click on control panel then click on add/remove programs. Any program you want to get rid of left click on it then left on add/remove.

No20- -To save space on your hard drive.
Go to start then left click on programs then check every program for the read me files. You can print them out then delete the read me files to save space on your hard drive.

No21- -To get rid of the URL's and things.
Go to start then left click on find then left click on files and folders. It will bring up a box then you type in icq then click on find now. When it is done finding look for the files that say temp left on it then left click on file then click on delete.

No22- -A file checker.
Go to start then left click on programs then left click on System Imformation then left click on tools then left click on system file checker and follow it.

No23- -A good place to get ram.
On your browser type in www.crucial.com They have ram starting at $52.19 for 128 mb ram.

No24- - A place to get ink refile kits.

You need Win Zip to unzip some of the programs files you download on line. Go to your browser and type in www.winzip.com and download it in my documents then when done go to my documents and double left click on it to finish downloading.
